When is the start date / When is the deadline
for application?
AIU - London offers four start dates throughout the year in January,
April, July and October.
There is a rolling admissions deadline that means that students are not
constrained by fixed deadlines for specific terms.
Places are allocated to successful applicants on a first come first served
basis.

Do I need a TOEFL / IELTS score?
Undergraduate students do not require TOEFL or IELTS but those wishing to
apply for a Masters Program (MBA, MIT) do require a TOEFL or IELTS score.
For students who are non-native students of English, proof of proficiency
is required:
Paper based TOEFL score 590. Computer based TOEFL score of 243
IELTS - 6.5.
Undergraduate programs taught in the English Language will also be
considered (proof is required).

How long is the program?
The Undergraduate Degree courses offered at AIU – London are Four Year
programs but it depends on whether you have credit to transfer in as this
can count towards your degree and you could graduate in as little as two
and a half years.
The MBA and MIT are one-year programs.
Can I get advanced placement / transfer
credit?
The minimum education needed to apply for AIU-London admission is the high
school diploma or equivalent.
Post secondary schooling will be considered
for transfer credit under set guidelines.
A policy form will be signed by
the prospective student in understanding of the evaluation process.
Original post secondary transcripts should be submitted by the student,
along with the course descriptions of each class completed with grade C or
higher.
A maximum of 95 credits can be transferred in from another university. All
AIU students may transfer a maximum of 145 credits to AIU-London in order
to receive the dual degree.
Can I work while I study at AIU - London?
Yes but when you are in the UK on a Student Visa you are only allowed to
work part time and that is 20 Hours per week.
We have a Careers Department
that will help and advise you when you arrive.
How much should I budget for living costs per
term in London?
This depends very largely upon your lifestyle, the part of London where
you live, whether you live alone or share and how you travel.
But as a
general basis you should budget to spend around £200 a week for food and
general living expenses.
How many students currently study at AIU -
London and which countries do they come from?
We have approximately 750 students studying at the university from over 89
countries worldwide.
Do you offer student accommodation?
Yes. Student accommodation is centrally located within easy commuting
distance from the campus. Students live in shared fully furnished flats,
with 24-hour emergency support.
The flats vary in size from one to five
bedrooms with students sharing their bedroom and bathroom facilities.

flats are in secure buildings and are furnished to a comfortable standard
How long will I have to wait to know if I
have secured a place?
Once you have applied and submitted the documents required for acceptance
(Personal Statement, High School Transcript and an Interview with your
Admissions
Advisor ), the Admissions Committee will review your application
and you will be notified whether or not you have been accepted to the
University.
This process usually takes around 2 weeks once we have
received everything from you.
Do I need a visa?
Yes, Students that do not have a British or EEC passport require a student
visa.
Once you have been accepted and paid your first terms tuition fees,
we will then DHL a visa letter to you so that you can apply for your visa.
If your visa application is denied, we will then refund the full amount
back providing you send us the original visa letter and the refusal letter
from the high commission.
